9th Divi Signalman Australian at El Alamein WW2

" Such is War Diaries of a Signalman Vol 2 " Cecil Anderson. Edited by Jeanie Cox and Joscelyn Lobegeiger : new book

This Volume 2 covers the years 1942-43 including the Battle of El Alamein. El Alamein was a decisive campaign in Northern Africa that the Australian 9th Division took a vital roll during World War II.  Cecil Anderson was a signalman during the Battle. He was a Member of the 9th Division 20th Infantry Brigade "J" Section HQ.
Like many Australians he wrote diaries based on his thoughts and experiences. These diaries have been written with humour and candidness and at times like poetry. He was in a position to receive top secret information on troop movements. He supplemented his diaries with maps and high quality photographs as he was a keen photographer.

For the author's Tobruk experiences see Volume I
