War Diaries of 1803 James Maxwell Laidlaw. Sent from Australia, with the reinforcements for the 9th Lighthorse Regiment. However, in Egypt he transferred to Division Artillery Column then transferred as a driver with the 50th Battalion AIF. There is supplementary information of a further family member Edward Seagal who was awarded the DCM while serving with the 4th Australian Lighthorse Regiment.
