The Australian 18th Battalion 1144 Days in the Great War a new Australian military book
This unit history is the first ever printed and dedicated to the Australian 18th Battalion during World War One.
The author Warren Baker once visited the cemeteries around Villers Bretonneax.
When walking around the Cachy Cemetery he seen a lone grave to an 18th Battalion soldier, H H Thompson (Harold Hubert "Paddy" Thompson) and wondered why it was there alone. Thus started 15 years of research into the 18th Battalion men, which culminated in this superb, near 800-page book.
