This military war book is Volume 6 of the Official History of the War published by the Australian War Memorial. This volume was printed in 1983 titled ' Official History Of Australia 1914-18 Volume VI The AIF in France 1918' by CEW Bean (actually from May 1918). It is a direct reprint of the original Volumes that were first Published in 1930's. Full and complete history of AIF military operations on the Western Front - * All in the time period detailed . The most important battle happening during this time was in part the German Spring Offensive and then the Allied Offensives starting in July 1918. The Australians were responsible in part for the Allied advance of 1918 by fighting many of the offensive battles including, Morlancourt Hamel Ameins Mont St Quentin and the Battles of the Hindenburg Lines. Huge on detail meaning you will never find a more comprehensive history. Most authors writing books on any topic of these operations reference these books as a basis of fact. Good one for medal or family / genealogy research !
