I know that this book is a US Battle History however they may be of interest, different perspective about the Pacific War WW2.

They are highly regarded, written by Brigadier General Jerome Hagen. He flew 483 combat missions in A4 Skyhawk during the Vietnam War. The volume as you can see by the pictures are dedicated signed.
