It was used for bomber training with B25 Mitchell Spitfire Mustang Avro Anson. Historical and descriptive accounts mostly from personal recollection of personnel that served there during the war years . Large amount of life and times information, detailed text is supported with a huge amount of b&w prints throughout book. Has large amount of named airmen photos important if tracing a photo for genealogy or medal research. Base was dismantled postwar but was still used for a bombing range for many years - last time I seen the F111 flying around the headlands
