Harold's Diary : An Australian Digger's Records from World War I ' edited by I.H.Reece.

Is the printed record of the diaries of 5625 Harold Reece A Company 17th Battalion AIF. This is the diary of a life on the Western Front with the 17th Bn.

Harold Reece was keen to go to war at 18 years of age he gained his parent's consent to join on 26/2/1916. He then left Australia on the 8/9/1916 with the 15th Reinforcements NSW 17th Battalion. He was taken on strength with the 17th Bn on the 23/1/1917. He was sick with albuminuria a condition of the kidneys. But he continued on the front until he was wounded on the 3/10/1918 and then invalided to Australia.

Would obviously be of interest to anyone who had relations with the 17Th Battalion AIF.
