This is the tribute biography of Brigadier Sir Fred Galleghan DSO OBE ISO ED ("Blackjack"). Written by one of his soldiers in the Second World War. Blackjack fought in two world wars and held a commissioned rank in the Australian Army for 50 years. He fought in the First world War with the 34 th Battalion then commanded the 2/30th during WW2.
