The Fall of Rabaul and Kavieng DVD

This DVD program features around 4 hours of riveting content including extensive interviews from Australian WW2 veterans. The veterans talk about the war times pertaining to Rabaul. Including about the massacres - revisiting the Tol Plantation and re-enactment of that massacre. Around 160 people were massacred on or about 4 February 1942 in four separate incidents around Tol and Waitavalo.
Six men survived these killings and later described what had happened to a Court of Inquiry. The Australian government concluded the prisoners were marched into the jungle near Tol Plantation in small groups and were then bayoneted by Japanese soldiers.
This is a "no punches pulled" documentary when it comes to criticism by some interviewees of those whose bungling decisions resulted in tragic, significant and unnecessary loss of Australian lives.

Included are 2 hours of detailed interviews with those who survived the 1942
invasion of Rabaul and Kavieng combined with rare archival film and stills. Extensive unseen interviews and the coverage of multiple events makes The Fall of Rabaul and Kavieng DVD a 'must have'.

Also includes the events at Parliament House Canberra on the 21st of June 2010. Includes all the speeches in the House of Representatives and Senate plus interviews at Parliament House gauging the reactions of relatives and veterans attending this historic occasion.
