Frank Legg joined the 2nd AIF in 1940, serving with the 2/48th Battalion Tobruk and Middle East, becoming an RSM and then being commissioned. Due to his prior radio experience, in 1943 he become a War Correspondent for the ABC. This book covers his travels with the front line Australian Battalions in New Guinea and Pacific islands.
