The tragic story of the sinking of the Japanese transport Montevideo Maru by US submarines. In 1942, the Montevideo Maru was transporting POWs from Rabaul to Japan to be used as slave labor when it was hit by torpedoes. 1053 Australian civilians, Lark Force troops were killed during the attack.
