 A first-hand account of life as a POW Prisoner of War from an Australian soldier with the 4th Anti Tank Regiment . After the famous tank battles of the Malayan campaign he was captured and become POW. The author discusses his experiences in the prison camps of Changi Singapore and Pudu. Later he was sent to construct the Thai-Burma Railway, and then the slave work at the dockyards of Nagasaki.

Includes the first action between Australian and Japanese forces in tank warfare and the author is amongst the first to see the effects of the atomic bombing.
