Jim Munro joined the RAAF to be a pilot but, like many was rejected and become a bomb aimer on the Lancasters. He flew with 460 Sqn Binbrook was shot down and become a POW of Stalag IVB. 

95% of the book is about Munro's war service, he records events from many of his raids, details of the planes he flew in, the days at Binbrook and of course his 'holiday on the continent' as a POW.
