A Record of the Operational Service of the 3 RAR, The Royal Australian Regiment in South Vietnam 12th December 1967 – 20th November 1968.

The commander of the 3rd Battalion, Lt Colonel J J Shelton, writes in the Foreword, "the book is primarily a memento for those of us who served with the Battalion..." There is a Chronicle of Events and a Nominal Roll at the end of the book. Numerous photographs illustrate the Battalion's time in Vietnam.

Importantly, the book provides near precise location of operations undertaken by the Battalion. The operations are clearly defined with map and aerial photos showing the movements of companies. Thus the book would be of high interest to those wanting to research the activities of 3RAR soldiers within South Vietnam, especially if a trip was being planned to the area in Vietnam.
