This military book has a collection of Veteran stories of battles WW1 WW2 Gallipoli Kokoda. Australia At Arms was First published 1955 and this is the 1960 print of that 1st edition. This volume has 31 well written accounts regarding Australia's most famous battles. Nearly all written by the soldiers. Battles covered are Pozieres, Beersheba, Ypres, Amiens , Somme, Kokoda Tobruk Rabaul ++++++ Anderson's great stand at Malay Peninsular. The main claim to fame of this particular book is that it contains the C.E.W Bean account of the First Hours At Gallipoli - The actual topic of this account is who was first ashore on 25th April 1915. We all know it was an individual who was part of the 9th Battalion but Bean in his usual extreme detail finds the actual person - interesting and a must for your records .
